How to Make Chakri, Gujarati Chakri Recipe



Now, We see the Gujarati Chakri recipe . AND know about that, how to make Gujarati Chakri 

Ingredients :

  • Rice flour - 2 cup
  • Split green gram  paste - ½ cup
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Water for binding as required
  • Oil for frying Chakri
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder (optional) - 1 TSP
Method of chakri : 

  1.  Wash and soak the pulses for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cook the pulses to  a paste  like consistency.
  3. In a big bowl add rice flour, pulses paste, turmeric, salt, chili powder, carom seeds or cumin seeds.
  4. Mix lightly. Heat oil and add the sizzling hot oil to  the rice  flour mix.
  5. Add water as needed to make stiff dough. Knead thoroughly with hand not food processor.
  6. Take a lemon size dough and place it in a chakri mould or icing bag with star nozzle.


Now, Heat oil for frying. Test the oil by dropping a small piece of dough and wait for 3 seconds if it does not rise to the top then oil needs to be heated


  • Gently make a spiral with the chakri mould or icing bag and deep fry to a golden brown.
  • Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
  • These spirals stay fresh for 7-10 days.

You need this Ingredients:

=>   1st take 2 cups Flour of maida      
=>   12/2 TBSP fine grained semolina OR Rice flour
=>   1/4th TSP baking powder.
=>   2.5 TBSP curd. 
=>   11/4th cups of water
=>   3 cups of sugar
=>   11/2 tbsp kewra water or rose water
=>   Ghee or vegetable oil for frying
=>   Green Elaichi
=>   Food Color(Orange Or Yellow)


Now Way of making jalebi


Step 1 : Steam(Boil) 3 cup water, add simply flour, semolina or rice flour and mix well.. 



Step 2 : Mix very well and then add remaining water and 1/8th TSP of saffron powder, and whisk until smooth.

Step 3 : Keep this better in sunshine or hot place in the home for more than 24 time. ( To make immediate jalebi use fungus packet).

Step 4 : Now, take a kadai or frying pan,
 and add ghee/vegetable 
oil and give hit.Now, Add food color to the jalebi for giving batter color.



Step 5 : After it, Deep 
fry until they are golden and crisp
 little brown.after frying 
put them in to syrup(khand - chasni).




How  to make syrup(khand - chasni)


First of all take 1 cup water and add sugar in it and steam on method fire. To examine whether it is prepared or not, take a fall on your thumbs and press with figure, if it creates line, then chasni is prepared. Add Elaichi powdered in to chasni (khand - chasni).

How to make churma ladoo (Churma na ladu)

First of all take all this Ingredients Like ..... 


2 cup wheat flour +  1 cup sugar(you can also try Gud)   +    1/4 cup oil ( to put into dough)   +   poppy seeds   +   11-16 almond + 5 cardamom + 1 cup ghee ( boiled and purified butter is preferable) water to make dough and oil to fry rolls.

Now, Your ingredients is ready ? ? ?

OK , We go to the method of making Churma Ladoo (Churma na ladu).


First of all, take a own bowl. 
Now, in a bowl , mix wheat flour and 1/4 cup oil. mix it properly. Then, add water as needed and make firm dough.


Take that dough in your hand , and press tightly and give it the shape of roll, Do the same method with remaining dough.


Now deeply  fry all that rolls, until they become minor darkish.  When they cool down, grind these rolls . 


Now take these grounded rolls in a big Dish, and mix sugar, cardamom powder , ghee and almond pieces together. Make balls out of that mix content. Spread poppy seeds (In Gujarati Khas khas) on each lovely ball.(laddu).

Now , Your Ladoo is Ready..
